I pulled both my HBE Psilocybe (phase) and Pareidolia (trem/phase/vibe-ish) off my board last night. I'm not finding a place for them at the moment and I'm kind of liking the stripped down sound again.
I might just pull off the wah and whammy and go:
guitar -> fuzz -> amp delay in the loop
It's been a while, but I've gone through phases of expansion and contraction. The music we're playing now calls for more straight up guitar than ambient/layered work...that or I need some different shit...hehe.
The ones by the power lines were sketchy for me to do. I'm okay with a chainsaw but I can't drop trunks with 100% accuracy like they did. They had to avoid the power lines and a fence that that skirts the backyard. They also had a stump grinder which I have no clue about. I hate to part with hard earned cash like that, but I guess a hospital bill or property damage would have cost more...hehehe... Thanks for the perspective grassman!!!
I had to get three palms removed from my backyard. They got too high where they were messing with the power and phone lines. Got a large Chinese Elm in my front yard trimmed at the same time. I usually do the latter myself but my chainsaw needs sharpening or a new chain so I said fuck it and hired a guy to do all.
At first he wanted $900 but I bargained him down to $650! Still a lot of ca$h but they're more than halfway done and it'll probably be two hours worth of work for them where as that shit would take me all day.
Thanks for sharing! So I lied and have the boss rc-20xl, which shouldn't have but gave me a warm tone ... I'm a little nervous now that it's been switched out. Any suggestions?
This is the best photo I have of mine...
Amp - peavey kb3
A/b switch to Volume pedal to behringer tuner (also on all the time) to mini screamer (distortion) to small stone (phase) to carbon copy (delay) to was the boss and now will be 720 (loop) to holy grail (reverb) to lr baggs para acoustic di
I got the electro-harmonix pitchfork - probably putting that right before the 720.
And then the ladies in my life in the background - my mum's violin that now has a lr baggs bridge pickup and my ns wav4.
Yeah, shoot...whenever I get something new/new-to-me thrown in the mix...I have to mess with it for a while to learn it, find out where it sounds best, and do the same at volume and how it sounds in the mix with the bassist or rest of the band if there other instrumentation. Fuzz is always a bitch, I like to get it's timbre right in relation to the bass. Hehe...probably why I haven't mixed it up in a while.
Consider trying the pitchshifter between the distortion and phase, I say that just because I like to add delay to my pitchshifter/detune. I always ran a looper last or in the loop so I can record/dub everything on the board before it.
I bet that volume pedal is crucial for ya, no volume knobs on the violin!
So, I'm trying to figure out how you DI. It's last in the chain so does it split to the amp and also to the house?

littl3birdy: Hey nessdeyali , bumps and loops are part of the process. Combing out the dreads and restarting will just lead to the same result. Check out some of the timelines here and you will see lots of bumps.

sketchymagpie: Hey V. It does occasionally, but the problem is that a lot of people use Tapatalk to access the site on their phones and you can't see this chat box on that, so of the small number of active users here currently, even less of them know this exists ha.
