James I love your set. They are perfect. And I really enjoy reading your post. It is refreshing to meet someone so open and honest. I feel everyone here is but somehow I feel like you share from deeper in your soul. 😊 people like you are rare and I love you for it. Wish I had joined the dread party sooner and gotten the chance to know everyone better. If the site goes down I will miss hearing what you have to say. Just felt the need to tell you I appreciate your post. They brighten my day 😊
Tks! I'm super happy with them. I love how messy they are at the moment. That's my favorite pic as well. Which is thankfully the way they look most days which makes me love them. Before dreads i would try to mess my hair up and make it messy. It would never stay. I think I will miss the messy stage when they finally mature.
this is after my deep clean after the end of summer. For the most part i left it alone just brushed out one or two tips. the ones that didn't shrink allot kinda balanced it out after it dried and i messed with one or two. The first time i deep cleaned that happen to just the back of my head and a few spread out in the rest. I brushed out all the tips the first time and they all seem to be working out. I have combined a few over the months. I still have two that I'm not sure if they are too thin or not but figured I'd give them some time to show what they are going to do.
ok so here is a partial timeline trying to figure out how to work this. anyone know why i can only seem to post three pics in a post?
anyway i twist and ripped. it took my like 16 hrs. i think i may have been a little obsessed with doing them "right" I did the first set on feb 3rd 2017 and then took them out and redid them on the 22 and 23rd of feb. this is the morning after i finished the second set i believe. maybe the first, i'm sure they looked exactly the same to anyone except to me the second set was much better in my own head at least.
this is in july. you cant tell alot but there are lots of loops in there somewhere. they shrank allot during july, between swimming and deep cleaning to try to get the chlorine out. i deep cleaned them twice and both times they shrank drastically. if i can figure out how to add more pics ill add them. I did brush out the tips two maybe three times over the summer because they were serious about blunting on their own quickly and it made them really short which i just don't feel i'm ready for. I kinda love the messy crazy hair. I'm sure when i'm ready for the to blunt they wont do it.
this in at the beginning of oct. still some short ones mixed in there but overall i'm fine with the overall length so figured i would just let it go.
Overall thoughts. I love them and plan on being buried with them! Kinda sad i didn't do it before now. And i will say its amazing the personal growth i've experienced. I don't know which started first the growth or the dreads. I feel like i started growing better as a person the day i twisted and ripped. Either way it's great and i'm glad there is a place i can share that with. As I only know of one person that would be open to understanding the concept without having dreads themselves.
Oh how cute is that. Kudos on saving him. It would have been really hard for me to resist the Urg to pick him up bare handed.
My cat brought in a rat a few weeks ago as a present. We had the back doors open. He didn't make it but I so badly wanted to comfort it as it was dying. Thankfully I thought twice before doing it. I can't imagine getting bitten by a wild animal.
I'm watching release the hounds at this very moment. Oh my goodness it's kinda funny to watch but I would be terrified to go on it I think. Like laughing at your friends in a haunted house and then running head first into a wall myself a moment later. Maybe I'm just getting old 😊
Oh awesome! Tks for the pics! I'll have to show my little one in the morning. She will love them. I love those red ones. I've not seen anything quite like it on this side of the pond. I hope to one day wonder the woods in another country and see the difference. Just not any where near the Amazon or anything. As beautiful as it looks the crazy spiders freak me out.
And how interesting about them surviving in space. I have never heard that. Very cool.
That's funny, I enjoyed the first dt book as well. 😄 I'm assuming they will get a little faster paced but that's to be expected.
And I should probably switch up genre's as well. That's a good idea. I read the same way as you. Visualizing the story with a cast and all. Last night I picked up i robot and was terribly confused why scientist were telling a little girl she needed to die. Until I realzed I had interview with a vampire in my hand 😊 and they were not scientist at all.
