I'm not a fan of the holidays, so no parties here. If I didn't have kids, I'd ignore it all together.
I forgot how tedious creating locs is. My husband has been hinting at it for a while now, so I started them over the long weekend. It was much simpler when it was my own head, I could work on them whenever, lol. My 5yo (who previously had partials) informed me that she's sick of brushing her hair and wants me to do all of her hair when I'm done with his. Oof, her hair is past her behind. 😬

Yes! Play the Labyrinth! My kids all love it. Granted my kids love the awesome stuff from the 80s, and don't watch currently airing crap cartoons. My kids also like rock and metal, so I couldn't tell you what a typical 9yo likes. My 5yo girl loves female fronted metal, and those are generally more appropriate than pop crap. Icon for Hire is more upbeat poppy, and not inappropriate/suggestive, though she does swear.

That's horrible!! I never trust contractors, I've known too many shady ones, and seen so many people get ripped off.
Marriage... Eh. It's a piece of paper, that doesn't do anything to prevent your spouse from betraying/mistreating you, and it makes it hella difficult to get out. My first one left me jaded, my second has proven to me that I should have listened to my instincts on what I learned from the first. Definitely not something I'd say "third time is the charm" about, lmao. But I know plenty of people who are happily married, whose spouses didn't pretend to be someone different, until they were married and let their real persona come out.
