Thanks for taking the time to write and share, Kat. You don't need to fear about being open about mental illness etc as many of us here have some level of experience with it (to be honest, I don't really believe there's such a thing as a "normal/average" person!). I myself am Bipolar.
I'm also going to have the theme from The Neverending Story stuck in my head all night now. Na na naaaaaa, na na naaaa, na na naaaa.....
This should be made in list form, and some of the facts can be dull like 'I like rice'. And it has to be 50!!
So was I supposed to reply to being your brother's cat? Is this about me? Don't write about me, I should be locked up, your brother is probably a much more sensible human than I. Why are you showing pictures of me to your mum? I think I'm on her side. Yes ok dear, whatever you say. The site is getting me seriously paranoid. Carrie Post 50 fact properly, make a list, the above is incorrect ^^.
Great movie choices with the Tim Burton etc. I think people might type this stuff outside the site first then cut and paste it. I don't know, I think this thread is bonkers, I'm not going to write 50 things.
Carrie. Keep it on topic. 1) I eat too much spicy food 2) I used to climb up the church roof 3) I have too much empathy.
Those sorts of things, that's just moi. You obviously want to explain yourself so do it, write it, read through, delete stuff and just say 'this is me'. Or don't. It's a really a good idea not to but you seem to want to be open so do, just make it flow, so a five year old could read through. Clear 'bam' facts. I guess it's a this is who I am list. ( I do recommend not doing it)
@haircare so I'm not alone in the practice of reading ahead! Phew, cause I really thought I might have different mental problems than the ones I have now! Ha! You make me feel close to normal!! Thank YOU doll And hope the kid ordeal works out for ya. You're in my thoughts sweet child

I had totally forgotten this till you mentioned it! Yeah, i DID totally do that and have reading anxieties...public reading. Although i always felt i did well...maybe more than reality? Haha but i almost never got picked when i volunteered...and was always nervous about getting picked off guard.
oh and i editted the post about the kid stuff. Thanks tho! Yes, i have had to watch another mother struggle, but seeing my SIL and hers, you know, it gives me some hope but eh.
1. I was an only child til I was 10 when my first little brother was born. I’m still my mom’s only child. 2. I have 3 half siblings, 2 brothers and a sister. 3. Becoming a mother was one of the biggest joys of my life. 4. My mom was 19 and my dad was 23 when I was born. 5. Incidentally, my first daughter was born when I was 27 and new baby was born in December a month after I turned 29. 6. I’ve always been an artist. It’s what people know me for. 7. I used to draw pencil portraits of my friends when I was in elementary and middle school. 8. Autumn is my favorite season. 9. I have a hard time picking a favorite color; rather, I have a favorite variation of each color, and favorite color combinations… 10. I generally hold a positive outlook on life. 11. I wear tank tops and birkenstocks all year. With layers when it’s cold. 12. I have lived in 5 different states. 13. I used to love toe socks when I was in middle school, and for years that’s what my family would give me for birthdays and Christmases… even after I was way over it. 14. I have a vegetable garden for the second time this year. I love it, and I’m learning so much. I already have a plan for next year. 15. I’m pretty disorganized. 16. And scatterbrained. 17. Losing my phone or keys is pretty commonplace. 18. My husband is the opposite, and tries to contain the madness. He’s learned to live with it though. 19. I love going camping but hubby doesn’t. Therefore we haven’t attempted it with 2 small children yet. 20. I want to build a fire pit in my backyard so I can have my favorite part of camping all the time! 21. I’ve always hated minivans but it’s looking like that will be our next vehicle. *sigh* 22. I have a major sweet tooth. 23. I want to eat healthier and exercise more, but it’s like my brain can only handle one new routine at a time… 24. I used to write poetry in high school (bad, ridiculous, emotional poetry lol) 25. I have 5 tattoos, one spreads across most of my back. With several more planned. 26. Owning my own business is a dream I’ve had for a long time, but it scares me. I’m still not sure I could stay motivated and disciplined without the structure of a job. 27. I am probably far too trusting. 28. I truly love all people and try respect all cultures. 29. I think that’s why I enjoy the human figure as a subject matter for my art. 30. I love Jesus, and continue to navigate my doubts and faults to learn more about Him. 31. I’m extremely empathetic. 32. The only place I’ve been overseas is Italy. I spent a month in the summer in a painting class and it was magnificent 33. I hope to spend time in many more countries someday. 34. I loved that thread on here about language differences. So fascinating. 35. I enjoy learning languages, but have trouble finding the time lately. 36. I am getting to be a decent knitter, and am working on my first garment right now. 37. On that note, I’m not the best project finisher. I made one mitten for my best friend’s birthday last year…… I told her I’d give them both to her this year, lol. 38. I’m canning my own stuff for the first time this year. 39. I’m church hunting right now. It’s surprisingly difficult to find non-judgemental Christians 40. I have very few close friends, even though I’m a pretty social person. There are like 4 people I talk to regularly (not including my hubby) and only 2 of them are people I’m very close to. 41. Low quality phone pictures drive me crazy. 42. I’ve had to learn to like vegetables. Growing up on boxed dinners really does something to how you view food. 43. I love decorating for holidays, but I rarely have it together enough to get things up in time. 44. My grandma is one of my favorite people, and it was really hard for me when she told me her thoughts on the dreadlocks. I’m sure you can imagine.. 45. I actually enjoy getting older. I feel more sure of myself, and am so thankful not to be a teenager anymore. 46. I’m a nail biter. Up until the last 2 or 3 years, I never let any white tips grow on them at all. 47. I moved from California to South Dakota and met my husband there, who had moved there from Louisiana. 48. I can play the saxophone, and it’s still one of my favorite instruments to listen to. In classic jazz especially. 49. I hate the snow. 50. I love to bake as much as I love to eat what I’ve made.
45. I say 'sorry' to everyone all the time even if i haven't done anything wrong.. it actually really annoys people
purpledaze This is common where i am from too. I've had years of training not to do it, but i am sorry, i still do it sometimes.
haha funny story though- reminds me of this game? we used to "play" as kids. We'd cross our arms over are chest and bump into each other saying, "oops! I'm so-rry. .Oops I'm so-rry Oops I'm so-rry..." and just did it till we got bored. lol now THOSE were some good school memories!! Silly, but good! ^^

chesh: Hey rye, under the "Dreadlock FAQ" >>> "The Basics" there is information on washing on the bottom. In my experience so far it has been best to wash my dreads when they get itchy and use a dry shampoo to help with the oils that are produced naturally.

rye: hi.. newbie on locks. I have 2 weeks locks but its not extension , just want to ask if it ok to do bath everyday and shampoo my dreads everyday
Apr 26, 2017 19:51:27 GMT
SketchyMagpie: Hey. It differs on hair type but generally speaking, you can lose up to between 25-50% of the length. Most people will be around the 25%-35% mark, ish.
