because obviously I was going to make this thread. I listen to podcasts ALL THE TIME! And I have to thank Paul for that
I mostly listen to horror fiction podcasts but Risk! Is probably my most favorite because I LOVE listening to other people's true stories and that's exactly what Risk! Is So what podcasts do you listen to??
Being somewhat internet limited I haven't really got into podcast. But as my phone has loads of Internet I've been tethering it. I would listen to loads of stuff. I've found this guys creative pep talks interesting. illustrationage.com/creativepeptalk/
That fact that Ri and I are at home the majority of the time (though for very different reasons! baby human vs freelance career) is probably why we listen to podcasts more than most others on here, because a lot of podcasts require concentration that isn't always convenient to listen to.
These days I tend to listen to the funny, talking-shit type stuff whilst I'm working and the really deep, thought-provoking stuff when I go for long walks or while I'm playing video games.
I sent in another voicemail to one of the American-based shows that I listen to, this week, where the presenters are obsessed with my accent. Here's a clip from the last time they played a voicemail from me:
I think we're so exposed to American media over here that I don't really have any difficulty understanding what you guys are saying. I think it's less easy the other way around because the broader range of British accents isn't really represented in TV over there... I'm from the middle of the country, so my accent is between all of the more extreme variations.
Ha, everyone says I sound different to how I look like I'll sound.
He needs a wig. Accent wise, in England accents can differ over just a few miles. So we are used to understanding what the hell some Liverpool person is saying along with a Glasgow accent and so on. So I enjoy the varying American accents. I don't think I have an accent, just clear spoken maybe. When I hear myself I don't sound like me. I sound like a hippy. Also I was thinking, Pauls voice isn't an accent, more an expression of personality. If that makes sense.

Sometimes I go for a week or so without listening to new episodes of anything and then I'll suddenly feel like I have an insurmountable task in getting back up to date, because I subscribe to so many..... I currently have over 70 hours of unplayed episodes on my computer :/

chesh: Hey rye, under the "Dreadlock FAQ" >>> "The Basics" there is information on washing on the bottom. In my experience so far it has been best to wash my dreads when they get itchy and use a dry shampoo to help with the oils that are produced naturally.

SketchyMagpie: Hey. It differs on hair type but generally speaking, you can lose up to between 25-50% of the length. Most people will be around the 25%-35% mark, ish.

FriendlyGoblin: Hey guys, I'm thinking of getting dreadlocks and I was wondering how much they'd shrink. I have medium-thick hair that is decently damaged and is 20" thick from scalp to tip. I'm also white. I'm thinking of getting them so they're life sized ruler

littl3birdy: Hey nessdeyali , bumps and loops are part of the process. Combing out the dreads and restarting will just lead to the same result. Check out some of the timelines here and you will see lots of bumps.
