So I've had mine for a little over 2 months. Some of the roots are doing this, as if they want to seperate. Its like straight hair until halfway down then its looking like what i feel like it should look like. I notice some peoples seems to look great and well formed through the whole process. I guess my question is, will these roots ever tighten up to my scalp or should i crochet them a bit?
sorry for the poor quality, hopefully this gives an idea.

The master has failed more times than the student has even tried.
I've been going on 2 years now (dreadversary, yeah!) and I still have a few that look like that. However, I notice a little bit of shrinkage every time I deep clean. You could crochet if you really wanted to, but I've heard it can be kind of damaging, so I've never bothered.
That's a normal part of the dreading process. honestly, you don't need crotchet, just let your hair dread - it knows what to do. trust me, a year from now and you'll be laughing at how much you worried about your hair dreading 'properly'.
Listen to your hair. I tried so long to fight the dreads that wanted to split, eventually I realized my hair was trying to tell me these locks were suppose to be separate. That's not to say that this is the case with all of them just the ones that wouldn't rejoin and we're growing out as 2.
