Just a quick guide on how to post photos on the forum for anyone who's not sure. This guide is for posting photos from a computer - the easiest way to use the forum and post photos from a phone or tablet is by using Tapatalk (check your device's app store to download).
There are lots of image hosting sites to choose from, but imgur is a good one. The instructions in this guide use imgur as an example but the steps will be more or less transferable to any similar site.
1. Upload your photo Go to your image host of choice and upload your photo. In imgur's case, you can click "New Post" at the top, or simply drag and drop your photo/s onto the page to start uploading.
2. Copy the direct link to the image Once it's finished uploading, right-click on the image and choose "Copy Image Address" (your browser may call it something slightly different).
3. Embed the photo on the forum
Click "reply" on an existing thread where you would like to post your photo (or create a new thread).
Then, from the post editor, click this icon above the text box:
A box will appear and, where it says "Image URL", paste the image address from Imgur.
After clicking "Insert Image", you should now see your photo embedded in a forum post.
Hello, I was going to start a timeline but wondered if you can add pictures over time or if you have to add all pictures at once? I'm only two months in so I would want to add a new picture to the timeline every month or so.
Yeah you can either keep adding to your first post over time. Just go back and 'edit' the post each time to add ( and bump it at the end of the thread with a comment), or just keep posting new pictures as new comments as you go. Up to you. Be good to see them.
Yeah, a lot of people dislike Tapatalk lol. It's easier once you get the hang of it, though, so don't give up!!
I usually just browse by the "New Posts" tab along the top but if you're looking for info (or to start a new thread) then you'll need to click "forums" and then go into either the dreadlocks or general community sections and pick a board from there.
