Hair totally crazy and you look like you've been living in the wild most of your life? That means it's working! Hurrah!
The likelihood is you're going through the messy stage that follows the first couple a months and comes before the hair starts to find its own way into knots so you needn't worry too much. So long as your sectioning is still in place, you should be fine.
Hi folks..Im Imelda..I have had dreadies for nearly six years and have to admit to having a love hate relationship with them..I receive so many compliments for my hair (never ever did before dreadies) but I think they look really messy and I have to do maintenance about once a week. grr
Hello again everyone! My name's Stephenie, I'm not really (but kinda?) new here. Last time I was here, I believe my username was Faelwynn? Mebe? I can't remember... That's part of the reason I just created a new account
Soooooo I'm currently gathering supplies to start up set of dreads #3.14 (because set three was prematurely removed, pi is perfection, and I refuse to call it at #4)... Going to go backcomb again because it works really well for me!
My name is George and a few weeks ago i decided dreadlocks are the way to go, so i stopped combing my hair. I am currently using the natural (freeform) method and i think it's working great. Hair is a mess and looks crazy, but hey, it's part of the journey!
Currently my hair has started to divide intro strands of hair that have a few knots in them but they are pretty thin. And I am wondering if they will combine into bigger strands that will eventually become dreadlocks or they will stay like this?
Anyway, great comunity here. I will definitely watch the timelines of the other dreadheads, ask questions and maybe even post my own timeline.

Welcome georgeu. We've had quite a few go the neglect route here, I'd recommend hunting down james's timeline as his is a good example of that turning out very well (albeit over a very long period of time!). And yes, show us ya journey!
