I don't recall the first forum I signed up for, but it was probably to do with online gaming, or knitting. This is definitely the longest I've been on the same one for though. I signed up for DT around the day I started my set off as I figured I needed to actually have dreads to join in.

I bought a Kinect yesterday! Not for the Xbox, but for my PC. I use Poser (which is a 3D character creation thing) for reference when I'm drawing comics etc but manually posing them in realistic/dynamic ways can really be a drag, plus takes a lot of time, so I thought I'd try the Kinect. Apparently the process is that the sensor projects a digital skeleton onto you, copies your pose and then applies it to the figures in the software.... if it works as well as I hope then it should cut a lot of time out and also lead to better drawings. We shall see!
As you gave the site a change I thought I'd better log in on the desktop. Looks good. It's like whole different world on the desktop when you have been only using tapatalk on a phone to view the site for so long.

Thanks, yeah I got a few replies to that email saying maybe it would help to update the site to be a bit more modern. That's a concept I always balk at a little (modern! ugh) but I decided some of the site's features could do with being a bit more upfront-and-center. We shall see!
One little change I've made that a lot of people won't notice is that, instead of it just being an empty 'no picture' graphic for people with no avatars, I've set one of the first logos Julie created for the site to be the default. I always thought it didn't really match the vibe of the site, as a logo, but it makes a nice little default avatar dontcha think?
