I'm seriously curious and well, tonight in need of inspiration. I'll take any ideas, but might change them to fit my diet....so if I ask questions about what you cook/eat, it's complimentary (flattery). I'm looking how to recreate it myself.
Ok, so, what did I eat today? Well, I'm not really vegan, but I eat a lot this way soo
for breakfast: Corn Chex, Silk (soymilk), sunflower seeds, almonds, and GF/SF/DF veggie protein powder.
lunch (yes, i say lunch): I tried these GF/DF veggie burritos (Amy's). not a very balanced meal, but I am pressed for time
dinner - (haven't had it yet)
you don't have to do the "b, l, d" thing, but I just threw that in there. That's my typical breakfast, so don't be too harsh with it. And, like I said, I never had those burritos before soooo thought it was worth putting.
now, i must find something to do with this chicken. uhhhh wish me "luck"!

danzia, yeah, gf, df, sugar free...but not celiac, so technically I can cheat, it does add uo though, so...yeah. I guess it's technically anti inflammatory diet, so fish is actually good for me (although, not the battered deep fried bit that Paul, or Pauls Mom has me craving! Uhhh, so yeah, not fun, especially with the meal planning because, of course I use to eat these foods and loved them. No peanuts either
But, I managed to fix something tonight, yay! It's like a "chinese chicken". Explain later because I'm still cooking it! Hehe (but of course GF soy sauce!)
This is what I had yesterday. Everything else is the same most days except I have something different for tea.
8am Breakfast: bowl of cereal with soya milk.
11:45am Dinner: bowl of fruit (melon, strawberry, grape, blueberry and raspberry) plus a yoghurt. Also have two rice cakes (seasalt and balsamic vinegar flavour) with a banana chopped up and put on top a few hours later.
5:30pm Tea: Four falafel balls in a salad with tomatoes, raisins, walnuts, olives and grilled halloumi plus a garlic and herb sauce.
8pm Supper: bowl of cereal with soya milk. I love cereal ;p
still anything, but I woke up a half an hour ago, I'll prepare some sandwiches or toasts, then I'll eat two sandwiches during breaks at uni and after coming home I have to prepare something for a dinner (better would be to call it supper because it will be around 7 p.m. )
I'm up now eating MY cereal. I love cereal too! But, isn't there a concern about too much soy? Like, I try not to take more than two servings of it daily, but I've somehow managed to get all these soy based things this last shopping trip! Hopefully, will finally do these overnight oats tonight for tomorrow! (With almond milk)...suppose I could have used that this morning duh!
kondzio, well, question for all you non Americans perhaps. So lunch equals dinner and dinner equals supper? For some reason, I thought both lunch and dinner were ..."supper"??? Idk where I got that! Lol
What kind of sandwiches, or am I in for another lesson on the meaning of "sandwich" there?

I don't think of supper as a late dinner.... More like just a snack before bed (or an end-of-day version of breakfast).
Also, the dinner/lunch thing varies depending on where you are in the country. Some places call the two main meals Lunch and then Dinner, I'm in a part of the country that calls it Dinner and then Tea.
Didn't have any breakfast, ate a vegan tortilla at school (beans and corn in tomato sauce with loads of salad) for lunch and now I'm going to prepare some lentil and coconut soup with rice. I will probably have some semolena & cacao porridge or rye bread with mung sprouts after I've had my evening run.
I don't usually eat any breakfast when I'm at home as I wake up so late that lunch is my breakfast. If I know I'm not gonna get any food for more than 2 hours, I usually eat for breakfast what I eat after my runs.

DreadlockTruth, danzia,woah woah woah! Dinner and tea? Oh...right. and supper is like a snack for you Paul? Wow! This is so very interesting and informative! I like the tea thing. Dont really observe it here now, but when the inlaws come....well actually, they do tea after every meal, "lunch and dinner" and probably don't call it tea. Idk ive already said to much, but well yall know I have a hubby so naturally, inlaws

Idk if I can have rye bread, but that sproited one sounds amazing (id love a bread recipe like this...I may have one actually, for to make is myself) but guys, is rye bread GF??? also, t, (dont know your name yet. Actually, reminds me of an old friend, and well the fruit too) but um what is or are "cocos"?? mind if I ask when you run? Is it just evenings or do you do more than one a day? Not that the question relates to the rest of this though, because you did say what you eat after said runs, and that is cool too. I'm curious of post workout snacks.
Ah! Lately I've been eating more like two meals too, but with a snack or "supper" but ohhh but this morning I was sooo hungry! My dinner (late meal) was not enough!
I don't think rye bread is gluten free unfortunately, unless you buy the gluten free one. I just put sprouted mung beans on top if it, I absolutely love them. I'd recommend those (or any sprouts really) to everyone because they're healthy and very tasty.
Lol, I actually meant to say coconut and not cocos, I had some kind of brain malfunction there thinking about cacao and cocoa. I put coconut milk in the lentil soup.
I usually run only in the evenings since I'm often very late at school and I'm not really a morning person. I also like to be alone when I'm running and there's less people around in the evenings. I think porridge is the best after workout food along with frozen banana smoothies. Then again I don't really know which porridges are gluten free. :/

tangerina, yes yes! Mung beans! I've sprouted them a couple of times. So but they just go on top? You have to balance them on there right? Or do they stick to the butter or something?
oh coconut milk. Ah this is very helpful! I can't remember if iv done lentil soup this way yet. I used to use yogurt, now I stopped yogurt.
porridge is cold or hot? I like something cold after workouts myself...plus with the shake, that is cold. Idk. yeah, I don't do mornings either hehe oh and yeah, have to get GF oats I would say. No semolina (of course I was just on a baking spree at the time I stopped it...should really make something for the hubby with it tho ;))
Omg! I have nothing to eat today! And forgot to leave out something to thaw too! Oh man! Shrimp are quickest so, guess I'll do that today. Geez! See!? Total screwup!

A little easier to describe with a pic.
Since I've been wanting "fish and chips"...well, this is my version today, but with
battered chicken (dal or lentil based flour, chili powder, salt and ginger/garlic paste), dal (the soupy stuff), and brown rice.
Oh! and this is pretty typical. Like if I refer to dal, well that's dal and when I batter something, it's always like this. We enjoy Indo-pak food! (including veggie stuff, but I could use a bit more practice there
Carrie, I meant late dinner (so supper would be IMHO wrong name for it eventually, though I called it like that few hours ago...), but actually I didn't ate it! Only some salted crisps and half of an orange. Now it's too late to eat something more because I'll go to bed in an hour
Tomorrow I'll probably eat potato dumplings stuffed with meat, sprinkled with fried onion on top with some salad.

littl3birdy: Hey nessdeyali , bumps and loops are part of the process. Combing out the dreads and restarting will just lead to the same result. Check out some of the timelines here and you will see lots of bumps.
