i've never heard of anyone using baking powder on their dreads, i think you probably mean baking soda =) if so, bicarbonate of soda and baking soda are two different terms for the same thing =)

i agree, keep your hands off the crochet hooks. personally i've never had my dreads crocheted so i can't speak from experience whether it is damaging or not but a lot of people i know use them and to me...

i've always felt very attracted to guys with dreadlocks. not exclusively guys with dreads, but mainly. it's not just the look of them, to me they also say a lot about a guy's personality.
